Finding a professional networking event is not hard. Finding one worth the evening is, and the difficulty is entirely in the sorting: the listings are scattered across Eventbrite, Meetup, Luma, chambers of commerce and a few hundred organisers’ own sites, and a meaningful share of what looks like networking turns out to be a webinar, a recruitment pitch or a timeshare seminar with canapés.
The existing answers go one of two ways. Some index a single platform well and are blind to everything else. The rest aggregate everything, verify nothing, and end up full of events that finished last year. Neither is a filter, and a filter is the entire job.
So this reads 38 sources, applies six gates to everything it finds, and publishes what survives — 439 events today. Most of what we look at does not make it, which is the point rather than an admission.
Who builds it
Power Events is made by Virtual Power Networking, who run networking for professionals themselves. That is the reason this exists: when you spend your evenings in these rooms you develop strong opinions about which ones waste people’s time, and eventually you build the filter you wanted.
It also means we list events that compete with our own. An index that quietly favoured its owner would not be worth using, and we would rather have the thing be worth using.
How it pays for itself
Browsing is free and stays free — every event, every factual detail, every filter, no account. Pro is for people who want saved searches and follows to keep watch and alert them when something matches.
We take no cut of any ticket. We are not an affiliate of any platform we link to, and no organiser can pay to be ranked above another in search results. If that ever changes it will be labelled on the page, not buried here.
