Goethe-Institut Glasgow Library's Translators' Stammtisch brings together working and aspiring translators for an informal online chat. Expect discussion of tricky terminology, CAT tools, rates, and the day-to-day realities of translation work, alongside the kind of shop talk that rarely happens outside the profession. There's no set agenda beyond good conversation, making it a relaxed way to meet peers, pick up practical tips, and feel less isolated in a solitary trade. Free to join and open to translators of any language pair or experience level, this one is worth attending simply for the company and the free-flowing exchange of ideas.
